Pricing for a new Pj’s 4x4 canopy varies with each customers specific needs. Starting at $4800 AUD, other cost incurring factors to consider include; Installation needs - Our customers are invited to have their elite canopies installed by our specialist team at our regional Victoria based workshop.
We can also facilitate fitment at any of our nationwide PJ’s 4x4 installation agents. In some circumstances our customers may opt for self fitting of their canopy where freight is the main additional consideration.
Some elite canopy models require supplementary bracing, specialised parts and more complex auto-electric work to integrate the vehicles sensitive wiring system with the canopies. An example of some such model specific cost incursion is the Next-Gen Ford Ranger canopy which requires an additional ‘J’ brace to be installed as specified by the vehicle manufacturer - Ford. Other factors include; premium, metallic and pearlescent paint finishes. In many cases this figure is largely driven by the vehicles producer, based on the weight that the vehicle tub is rated to carry defined by the manufactures specifications. As such we urge all of our customers to be aware of the capacity for their individual vehicles.
The PJs 4x4 Elite Canopy is engineered and tested to carry a dynamic roof load rating of 110 kg. The dynamic roof load rating refers to the overall weight in which the canopy can carry whilst travelling. This rating increases to 400 kg when stationary a.k.a. static roof load rating. It is important for the user to ensure that not only the vehicle is designed to carry those loads, but the racks or crossbars fitted are also designed to carry those weights. The correct distribution of weight across the entire surface of the canopy is paramount to ensure that you can use its entire capacity safely. Depending on the size of your roof load, users should also consider wind drag at high speeds and lateral movement when four-wheel driving. -
